Resident Doctors Strike

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced resident doctors will take strike action immediately after the Easter bank holiday weekend from 7am on Tuesday, 7 April to 7am on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Anyone who needs urgent care should use NHS 111 online or the NHS App to be assessed and directed to the right care for them. If you do not have internet access, then the free 111 phone line (open 24/7) is also available.

NHS 111 and the NHS App can help you find out:
Where to get help for your symptoms
* How to find general health information and advice
* Where to get an emergency supply of your prescribed medicine
* How to get a repeat prescription
* How to get an emergency dental appointment
