Major Roadworks

Important information to be aware of when coming for an appointment:

From Monday (January 29) Sandy Lane in Great Boughton will be closed for a period of almost 12 months while Severn Trent Water carry out work to install new water pipes in the Chester area.

This work is part of a major £10m investment by Severn Trent Water, and whilst it will ensure the city receives a reliable and sustainable water supply, the longstanding project work will have a big impact on traffic.

Please factor this into your journey time.

The whole project is due to be finished by mid December 2024.  There will be signposted diversions along Sandy Lane for through traffic, with access remaining for residents and emergency vehicles only.
