On May 2nd, The Hub officially opened their Boughton Pharmacy at Boughton Health Centre. Electronic Prescribing Service
The electronic prescribing service allows patients who have repeat medication to nominate a pharmacy of their choice to receive their prescriptions electronically, saving time on unnecessary trips to the surgery. You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time but you must inform the practice so we can update your medical record. A small number of prescribed items including controlled drugs are excluded from this service.
Partner at the Practice
We are pleased to announce that following a successful 12 month period as a salaried GP, Dr Harriet Williamson is now a Partner at the Practice. Dr Williamson who specialises in sexual heath and contraception and is a GP mentor for medical students is a welcome addition to our hard working, dedicated and caring clinical team.

GP Practice of the Year 2016
The Practice is delighted to have been awarded “GP Practice of the Year 2016” at the recent West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group Awards which took place at Chester Racecourse.
The nomination focused on how we actively explore ways of addressing challenges and current demands by making use of information technology for patients.
The Practice has an embedded culture of offering on-line services to our patients and was one of the first practices to do this 6 years ago with access to booking appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions, so the natural next step was to provide full access to on-line medical records. Empowering patients to take a more active role in improving/maintaining their health and wellbeing and feeling involved in their decision making was paramount to the Practice. The Practice continues to offer new solutions to patients, launched eConsult back in May 2016 and is currently running an awareness campaign in conjunction with the Patient Participation Group (PPG) to offer virtual access to be involved with our PPG.

We have introduced a new service that allows patients who are currently registered at the practice to consult with a GP electronically and offers alternatives to calling or coming into the surgery for common, more minor problems. Please note any photographs needed to help diagnose your condition can be uploaded securely.
